Baby A is 2

It’s been so long since my last post. Baby A is now 2 ish and I didn’t plan a huge birthday but she did have her friends over and we had them play and birthday cake. The theme was froyo party as she loves it.

China Trip

Hi all,

Sorry been MIA as I have been on holidays and then recovering from being sick. We went to China as a family for the first time. It was A’s first trip on a plane and I was thinking this would be hell if she didn’t sleep but thank God she slept like “a baby” and I was able to watch movies on the plane. Even on the trip back she was great and slept too. I watched Gone Girl and Lala land both were very different movies but really suspenseful and interesting.

So onto China. We went to a place called Taiyuan which is near Beijing and also another city Kaifeng. The weather was cold but still manageable even with a baby.

Some of the places had really beautiful scenery too.

Since A did so well on the plane we are planning our next trip. She was only scared of all the uncles that she met over there!

Summer Vibes

Hi all,

It’s been a while since I wrote a fashion post and because being a mum is already busy work plus actually going back to work – it’s been a while since I have gone back down to the swing of things. Now though, I think I will be able to have time to write some more blog posts! Yay

So this Summer in Melbourne has been very hot – over 40 degree days and it’s also been very humid.
The trends I’m seeing this summer is a lot of bright florals, stripes and rompers plus straw hats and long accessories.

Baby A is One

Hi all,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while – baby life and work life have collided and I feel like I sometimes don’t have enough energy to post or do anything else after I have come home from work or been playing with baby A.

So excited that baby A is one now. We held a party for her and we thought she would be overwhelmed but she was loving it as she learnt to walk just a couple of days before. So she was waving and walking to everyone.

As always she got spoilt with lots of presents and eating lots of cake! It’s definitely an achievement as parents to have gotten through the year.

Stripes and an update

Hi all,

It’s been a while since I updated. Having a 10 month old makes it hard to shop and try on clothes but when I have been able to – hubby in tow I was able to purchase this stripe top.

 

Update on baby A – she is cruising all over the place 🙂 Love her to bits and she is learning things so fast. She understands when I ask her where is the ball and balloon. Soon I will be back to work and I will miss hanging out with her so I’m hanging onto each of these last moments with her.

Fashion rut

Hi all,

It’s been a while since I blogged. I have been having a fashion rut. Especially being a new mum – I find it easier to throw on a sweater and jeans and head out the door.

Been loving florals as its getting warmer and I really want a leather jacket. Loving this bag from H&M too – looks more expensive than it actually is.

Birthday week

Long time no blog.. life just has been busy with little A 🙂

I had a birthday and enjoyed having a birthday week 🙂 Flowers and clothes from hubby and lots of eating out 🙂

Day out

Hi all

It’s been a while since I last blogged. Time flies even when you are at home with a bub. We managed to scrape in a family day trip and since bub hates the car- screaming was a lot of the way. Thankfully it was a beautiful day and we walked around Geelong.

Girls night in

Hi all,

Have you ever wanted to know what you would do if you had a girls night in? Personally I miss those days without a baby to hang with your girlfriends and have a girly night. This is what my friends and I would get up to :

• Everyone bring some food to share for the night – whether  it be home made treats or some junk food or some dips – I’m a foodie after all

• Set up a nail station where we can get our nails done (I have a gel mani set that is great for these kind of events)

• Chill with a Netflix movie – probably a chick flick like 27 dresses or some other rom com
• Have a good old chat and gossipy session – I love hanging out with my girlfriends and finding out what is happening with their lives while eating

Zip tops

Hi all,

It’s hard being a mum and going back to blogging but I’m trying to while lil one is asleep. Also its hard shopping with a lil one but I wanted to buy a new top so I tried these four tops but I seem to be gravitating to black and white – maybe because it can hide spillages. Excuse the pram in the photos :p

These were all from Temt and priced around $9.95

In the end I came home with this elephant print top – its really interesting and I love the color of it.
