Ebay items

Hi all,
It has been a restless night for the most of Melbourne due to the weather here. It’s still going to be hot today! Waiting for that cool change tomorrow. For those who have been reading my blog, they will know that I only recently delved into ebay shopping late last year. So just wanted to show a couple of items that I have picked up 🙂

Owl necklace – I actually really love this and it was super cheap!

Turqoise bangle – this matches a ring that I purchased

3 pcs Korean Style Leather Double Wrap Belt Bracelet Fashion~
Leather bands – these are quite funky and good for small wrists

Similar to Konad stampers – ever since buying a konad set from the US I have been looking for cheap plates/designs and I came across this one for $12.95 which is half price of the original konad stampers and they work equally well.

I did buy a scarf which turned out to be a dud and I got a refund but I haven’t really delved into buying clothes from ebay yet.

Last of all – due to post Boxing day sales there have been items still on sale – picked up this makeup train case with 3 blushes, 2 eye pencils, 2 lip pencils, 4 nail polishes, 4 lipsticks, 4 eye palettes, and a couple of brushes. I haven’t used a lot of them yet but I think this is awesome for people who are delving into makeup for the first time as it has so many things!

Ebay purchases

If you have seen my other post on ebay addiction you may have noticed that I did purchase some goods – namely a scarf and some accessories! So they came in the mail the other day and what was my reaction?

Okay the scarf – a big nono!! It wasn’t the color I was after. The stitching was all messed up and it had a stain in the middle of it! The quality was very bad! So I thought – what do I do? I left them neutral feedback and then emailed them to say that it was all wrong. Thankfully they have agreed to refund my purchase otherwise… I don’t know what I would have done.

2nd purchase – was these cute belt wristbands. They looked the way that the picture described and I love them. They are edgy and my style.

Favourite place to have dessert is a place called Vanilla! They have the best cakes and really comfy booth seats 🙂 I always head here with my good friends for a good ol chat gossip session and eat 🙂

Even though its bucketing down! I hope tomorrow will be full of sunshine! 🙂

Ebay addiction

Okay so I’m not addicted … YET but I recently just jumped on the ebay bandwagon and can I say that it is so unbelievably addictive! There is so much out there and so many different things. I (being a noob) decided to buy my first item. I thought a scarf as a first purchase wouldn’t be too bad and I wanted to pay dirt cheap for it too – just to test the waters..

So I typed in scarf – and there were hundreds of scarf items – You can either buy it now or bid on items. So I thought I would just buy an item outright – I chose a bright blue scarf – for the spring/summer time and it cost me $1.50 – SCORE!
Now I shall wait for my item to be shipped over and then I will make my final verdict.Item picture

Next couple of items I got were bidded on. I think (I know) this is why people get addicted to ebay. They start bidding on an item and when they get outbidded they have to continually up the anti and bid more and more! I won my first item – a turquoise bangle/bracelet and then I scored some leather cuffs too. Item picture

Okay even though I’m new to Ebaying – here are some of my rules for newbies:

1. Do your research – If you are eyeing for a particular item – make sure you check out the stores and that you are really getting a good price for what you are paying for on ebay. If they are designer brands – make sure you are buying from a legit dealer. *I had a friend who bought some Abercrombie items not realising that they were fakes until the products arrived* so make sure you read the fine print!

2. Check out the sellers info and feedback – This will give you a good indication if they are legitimate and that customers are happy with their products. If they have a lot of bad reviews/feedback then I wouldn’t even start to buy from their store.

3. Stick to a budget – Sometimes buying things on ebay can give you an adrenalin rush and you may continue to click that “bid” button not knowing how much you are actually spending. Figure out how much you want to spend on that item and make sure you don’t go over that figure.

4. Watch out for shipping – When you are buying something make sure you see if they have free shipping and if they don’t – check how much it is – otherwise you may be paying say $2 for the item but then $8 shipping which may not work out to be a bargain as you originally thought.

Any other tips from ebayers? Any good buys? Any bad stories?
