Another PFC challenge 22 This is one by Preponderance of Fashion
The weather outside is frightful, but indoor shopping is warm and delightful. So, whether you have wind, rain, or snow, show me your clothes when shopping for friends or foes!
Purple and scarf
I have been loving purple lately and this blazer is perfect for the office and also for shopping in your lunch break. Because the temperature can fluctuate between outside and inside I like to have a scarf 🙂 You can wrap it around your neck for warmth but if it gets too hot you can also take it off and carry it in your bag or tie it to your bag as an accessory. Even though down here in Australia its actually Summer but inside it can get cool with the air con so a Summer scarf does the trick 🙂
I love the pattern on this scarf – its so summery 🙂

I will be on holidays from this coming Sunday to the New year so I won’t be blogging much while over there 🙂
Sydney Opera house
Sometimes its good to turn off technology for a while and relax and enjoy the things around you 🙂 That is what I will be doing 🙂
The weather forecast looks good from mid 20s to late early 30s 🙂
So hope you have a Happy New Year and if you get some time off in between then 🙂 Enjoy your holidays!
See you in the New Year 🙂
At the end of the year you can expect to gorge on lots of food. Our company lunch was held at China bar buffet. All you can eat dim sum, buns, desserts…
This was my first plate – sushi, curry puff, prawn, eggplant, duck
My dessert platter – black sesame cake, mango pudding, passionfruit tart, fondue
You can definitely expect a tonne of food and guiltily I say I ate 3 plates of mains haha! Need to get as much bang out of your buck right? $33 for all you can eat! Too bad sashimi and peking duck was not available but still 🙂 I think it’s great value for a lot of variety!
Hope you are all gorging yourselves 🙂
The closer it gets to the end of the year, the more I see people flock to the city and there are crowds and sales! Look at these cute owls!!
This is what I wore while out and about 🙂
Wearing: Purple peplum top – Temp, Ombre purple skirt from Miss shop, Grey cardigan
Have you picked up any good things on sale? Any plans for end of year?
I haven’t baked in a long time but I had some spare time up my sleeve and made these honey gingerbread cookies.
What you will need:
2/3 cup of brown sugar
100g of butter (unsalted)
3 and half cups plain flour
3 teaspoons of ground ginger
2 teaspoons of baking powder
2/3 cup of honey (golden syrup as alternative)
1. Cream sugar and butter
2. Add egg
3. Add all dry ingredients together and add to the wet mixture
4. Add the honey
5. Make into a dough wrap in cling wrap and chill in the fridge for half an hour
6. Roll out dough to 5 mm thick and cut shapes
7. Bake in 160 degree oven for about 10 minutes depending on oven.
For the icing:
1 egg white and 1 cup of icing sugar – beat the egg white to soft peaks and then add the icing sugar.
We went crazy with the icing as you can see 🙂
Happy weekend everyone!
Even though it is officially Summer over here we have had Winter come to say hello to us again so even though I was going to pack away all my winter gear it looks like it was good that I didn’t.
Wearing: Rust skirt, tights, striped tee, red scarf and black outerwear
Hope Summer comes soon!! 🙂
My weekend was super busy and filled with food 🙂 I went to my first outdoor opera 🙂 It was awesome – the atmosphere was great and the singing was beautiful even though they sang in a different language that I didn’t understand but they explained each opera piece before they sang.
This was my lunch – the best hainanese chicken rice I have tasted in a long time!
Hainanese chicken rice
I had this for dinner and it was not too bad. It was tom yum soup based – not that spicy and you could choose 6 different items to add with noodles 🙂

Last of all, I leave you with my cute bunny named Pipi 🙂
Hope you had a great weekend 🙂 Have you been to an opera before?
