It’s been a while since I wrote a fashion post and because being a mum is already busy work plus actually going back to work – it’s been a while since I have gone back down to the swing of things. Now though, I think I will be able to have time to write some more blog posts! Yay
So this Summer in Melbourne has been very hot – over 40 degree days and it’s also been very humid.
The trends I’m seeing this summer is a lot of bright florals, stripes and rompers plus straw hats and long accessories.
I have been on a blogging hiatus – mainly due to work getting busier and just enjoying life more rather than being on the PC all the time 🙂 Just decided to show what I bought on my latest trip to Brisbane. They have this shop called S.E.S which sells trendy clothes for a fraction of the price. Think F21? I also went up there for a wedding and it was beautiful 🙂 The bride came into the church and then it rained! They say that’s lucky?
The weather was beautiful there too! So even though it’s Winter we enjoyed some sunshine and even went to the beach!
We have a long weekend due to the Queens birthday 🙂 So happy long weekend everyone!
I haven’t done a NOTD for a while. Though I have been switching up my nail polish nearly every week or whenever I get bored with the color. I get a lot of hits from searches looking for polka dot and striped nails. I have done one with a mint green – see here
I decided to do something similar but with all pinks. Pastels are great for spring and even though we are in Autumn in Australia I still like to do any colored nails no matter the season 🙂 Just whatever mood I’m in!
So here they are 🙂 Super easy to do and really fun.
All you need is a pastel pink color and a dotting tool to dot the white dots and stripes 🙂
How do you like to do your nails? Any trends you see?
For those who have been reading my blog regularly I seem to have a lot of stripes posts. It’s not my fault .. I have just fallen head over heels for stripes! I recently purchased this boyfriend cardigan for $4.95 – yep it was on sale! It’s in navy and brandy snap (pink) and I love that it has pockets at the front. It reminds me of the one I purchased in F21 however for maybe a third of the price.
So today I’m wearing stripes on stripes. A striped pink, purple and white Old Navy singlet and my new cardigan. H&M jeans and my Sportsgirl runners.
Are you guys sick of stripes yet? What prints are you currently obsessed with?
This is what I wore today. My floral H&M dress and my striped cardigan with black skinnies and black flats 🙂 it’s still quite cold! We even had snow yesterday in the mountains!! In summer!! It’s crazy!!
Thank God tomorrow is Friday! Hope your week has flown 🙂 it’s nearly the weekend!!
Today I decided to pair a stripe tee with my trusty blazer and add a rust colored pencil skirt to finish the outfit.
Accessories: Heart beaded bracelet and this infinity ring from Sportsgirl.
Also tried on this pink dressy skirt in Temp but it was too long and a little itchy – the material and I tried on these red pants but I didn’t like the fit and the color was a tad too bright for my liking.
Who would have thought that these 3 different patterns would make a complete outfit. This is what I wore today. I think the trick is to have the colors similar in each pattern – for eg I chose black and white. You should choose one pattern to be “louder” than the others while the other 2 should complement the bolder pattern.
I chose this striped cardigan which is black and gray where the stripes are quite faint. I also chose this spotty skirt where the white dots are also quite faint and then I chose this floral top that is much bolder in pattern.
Today has been the hottest it has been for a long time – just a taste of Summer! 29 degrees!
