Khaki key

Hi all,

It’s already the end of July! I can’t believe how fast it’s been. Recently most of my time has been spent cheering the Aussies on in the Olympics!! I especially love the swimming, gymnastics and basketball (awesome shot from half court from one of the girls).

I did find this khaki colored knit top from Temp with a key zip detailing which I thought was very cute.

Khaki is one of the colors I am drawn to and I’m not really sure why. Do you have a color that you are drawn to?

Carrot fritters

Hi all,

This weekend was a lazy one and I managed to find some time to do some cooking. We had some carrots that needed to be used up so I looked up a recipe on Taste and found one for carrot fritters.

Here are the steps to make them :

Ingredients:
3 carrots
1 potato
1 cup of plain flour
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
salt and pepper to taste

Method:
Grate the carrots and potato and squeeze as much juice as you can out of them so your fritters aren’t too soggy. Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl with the vegetables.
Fry them as patties in a frypan with shallow vegetable oil and voila πŸ™‚ Snack!!

Serve with sauces of your choice! In the recipe they served it with greek yoghurt but I tried bbq, relish and tomato sauce πŸ™‚

Let me know if you try it or have some variations to this recipe πŸ™‚

Tropical nails

Hi all,

Haven’t uploaded new nails for a while. This one is used from my konad prints and it reminds me of a tropical island.

I used Sally Hanson’s Wine not as the base coat and used Sally Hanson’s mint sorbet for the palm tree with my konad white nail polish for the butterfly and palm tree trunk.

Yesterday I went out for a birthday dinner – this is the delicious icecream we had!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and that you are tuning into the Olympics πŸ™‚

Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!

Trying out peplum

Hi all,

Peplum has been hitting the blogs big time so I decided to try it out while I was out browsing the racks.

Wearing: Polka dot peplum from Valley Girl. It was quite a cute look that was fitted.

I also tried this A-line striped skirt. Not too bad but I didn’t need another striped skirt.

Spring collections have been hitting the streets of Melbourne and I can see a lot of florals and pastels but also a lot of neons as well and I’m lusting over some necklaces like this but in brighter colors:

Β

Of course I couldn’t go on a shopping trip without eating πŸ™‚ I tried out this Malaysian restaurant called Paparich.

Β

Awesome roti and satays! Definitely recommended πŸ™‚

Has anyone else tried out peplum? What are your thoughts?

Tea house

Hi all,

This weekend is that much more sweeter because its a 3 day one for me πŸ™‚ As per usual I go out eating and enjoying the weather which hasn’t been as cold as it should πŸ™‚ No complaints here!

Spicy Pork bulgogi – my bros favourite at Tea House

I like the Taiwanese chicken rice πŸ™‚

Their decor is cute πŸ™‚ A little clock cup for the menu

And of course I can’t go buy without a bubble tea – Mango is my go to.

I loved theΒ look of this cloud while I was driving so I got my brother to take it~ Don’t worry I’m a safe driver! Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend!

My perfect day would be a nice summery day waking up late and then going to brunch with friends then spending the rest of the day at the beach or shopping πŸ™‚

2. Would you rather win the lottery or live the way you are now?

Hmmm I would say live the way I am now – the reason I say this is because if I won the lottery I don’t know what kind of a person I would be – unhappy with so much money or just spending like crazy until I had no money. I say be content with what you have and just strive to be happy πŸ™‚
3. 3 Things you would want if you were on a deserted island.

Lol I always hear these questions and always have no idea what I would bring.. 3 things .. I would like a friend? Is that a thing? Objects would be a boat to get away in? See how I wouldn’t like to be stuck on a deserted island? Probably because it reminds me of the movie Cast away.
4. Top Favorite Book.

I haven’t read many books lately – I did love the Harry Potter series though πŸ™‚ Much better than the movies!
5. If you have super powers, what power would that be?

I would love to be able to transport myself with the click of a finger. So I wouldn’t have to travel by plane to countries I would love to visit!
6. After a stressful day, what do you do to de-stress?

I love vegging out in front of the tv and letting my brain drain or else I like to pamper myself with facials or do my nails.

7. What do you fear the most?

Magpies… I know it may sound lame but when I was little I was swooped and ever since I can’t walk near them if they are above me on power lines.
8. How do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Probably married with kids? Whoa that’s kinda scary..
9. Do you believe in Love At First Sight?

Mmmm not really.. haha I’m not much of a romantic – more of a realist?
10. What is your favorite song?

At the moment I love anything sung by Clara C – she is a youtuber who has a great voice!
11. What is your favorite type of cuisine?

I love Japanese! Italian as well but I think Japanese is my all time favourite πŸ™‚ Give me some sashimi, tempura and I’m happy πŸ™‚
